UK Supplier Lists Retatrutide and GHK-Cu Vials, But First-Lot Certificates Are Still Pending

A press release distributed through Macau Business says UK supplier Altapeptides opened an online catalogue of laboratory research peptides on 15 September 2026, with Retatrutide and GHK-Cu among the listed compounds.

Retatrutide is a multi-receptor peptide drug candidate being developed for obesity and metabolic disease, and GHK-Cu is described in the release as the copper(II) complex of glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine, a tripeptide widely used in skin research. Neither is being sold for human use here: the catalogue is aimed at laboratories doing in-vitro and analytical work.

What is actually listed

The specifications are unusually concrete for this corner of the market. Retatrutide is listed as a 40 mg lyophilized powder in a sealed 3 mL glass vial, GHK-Cu as a 50 mg blue lyophilized powder in the same vial format, both requiring storage at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius and protection from light.

Product pages set out composition, molecular weight, vial specification and storage conditions for each compound. That is more than many research-peptide sites publish, and it is the part of this announcement worth paying attention to.

The certificate policy, and the catch

Altapeptides says its policy is to publish a certificate of analysis matched to each lot before that lot ships, tying every vial to its printed lot number. Once published, the certificates are meant to cover mass spectrometry identity, HPLC purity, residual-solvent and bacterial-endotoxin testing, plus the laboratory name and report number.

Here is the catch, and the release states it plainly: first lots are pending and their certificates have not been published. The certificates register currently shows compound names, vial sizes and specifications with the lot entries marked pending, which means the central verification claim cannot be checked by anyone yet.

Research-use restrictions

"Researchers need clear specifications and a way to match a vial to its documentation," said Julian Vance, Director of Altapeptides, who added that no vial is dispatched without its certificate. The company says all catalogue products are restricted to laboratory, analytical and in-vitro research use and are not intended for human, veterinary, diagnostic or therapeutic use.

Orders are limited to researchers aged 18 and over, and the release says correspondence indicating intended human use results in refusal.

Bottom line

This is a company announcement, not independent verification, and the documentation that would make the announcement meaningful does not exist publicly yet. The policy is a good one on paper. Whether it holds is a question the first published lot will answer.
