Beyond Raw is adding a Collagen Peptides powder to its Chemistry Labs series, according to a product report from Stack3d. The GNC house brand positions the line as mostly standalone supplements that consumers can use alone or drop into a wider stack, and this one is aimed specifically at tendon and joint health and function.

The active is 5g of Tendoforte, a hydrolyzed bovine collagen from the German supplier Gelita that is marketed for tendon and ligament health rather than skin. Hydrolyzed simply means the collagen has been broken into shorter peptide fragments, which is the standard format for collagen you stir into a drink.

What is in the tub

Beyond the 5g of Tendoforte, each serving delivers 4g of protein, no carbohydrates or sugar, and 20 calories. It is completely unflavored, which is the sensible call for something designed to disappear into a smoothie or an existing stack.

A tub carries 30 servings at $24.99 when it goes live at GNC, which Stack3d notes is a bit more than a standard collagen powder. Thirty servings is a clean month at one scoop a day, which is how these products are meant to be bought.

The ingredient does the selling

The pitch here is not the brand, it is the raw material. Gelita says Tendoforte can enhance joint stability and tendon thickness when paired with resistance training, and that conditional matters: the claim attaches to collagen plus training, not collagen on its own.

That is a more specific and more honest framing than most collagen marketing, which tends to gesture at joints, skin, hair and nails at once. Naming a single tissue and a single co-requirement is the kind of narrowing that usually signals someone actually read the research.

What is missing

No study is named. There is no trial, no participant count, no duration and no journal anywhere in the announcement, only the supplier's summary of what its ingredient can do.

For a product whose entire premium is the branded collagen source, that is a lot of weight on an unnamed body of evidence. Buyers are being asked to pay above standard collagen pricing for research they cannot go read.

Bottom line

The formula is refreshingly simple and the tendon-specific angle is a real differentiator in a crowded category. What remains unsettled is whether the studies behind Tendoforte hold up once someone puts a citation next to the claim.
